  • Re: New Mac, Instruments are not loading...

Hi Klaus,   The answer for you may be on this thread   http://community.vsl.co.at/forums/p/25218/169918.aspx#169918   settings created with older versions of Vienna Instruments are not loading on newer versions - though there is a work round.   Hope this helps       Julian

  • Re: Master power panner for VI Pro

Yes but the master pan could not only give an exact position for all the slots at once it could reposition the overal image on an intricate panning set up over many slots. It could reverse it, change it mid left to mid right or mono it. And if it was implemented further flexibility could be achieved by having a pre/post reverb ...
  • Re: Master power panner for VI Pro

Hi Paul,   The Ensenble family don't permit Logic automation (in multi timbral mode) so VI Pro is definitely my weapon of choice.   Useful to know about the ALT trick but please do consider the master power panner as I can't see any downside and with the assignable front panel no real estate problems.     Julian
  • Master power panner for VI Pro

Please could we have a master power panner for VI Pro? Lets say you have a solo instrument you want reduced in width and panned half-left if you put these settings in the slot mixer then they have to be entered for every single articulation - a time consuming and fiddly process (the slots can't be panned as a template as loading the ...
  • Re: Polyphonic legato - help needed

Yes good idea, have another identical legato patch loaded and just switch to it for chords.   It would be good however to have an explanation behind the mechanism of the polyphonic switching. For example if a preceding note (say A) splits to a 2 note chord (C+E) I would guess the chord notes are 2 legato notes with the transition from the ...

  • Re: Polyphonic legato - help needed

[quote user="Paul"] Hi Talino,   if you play monophonic lines anyway, there´s no need to turn off polyphonic legato (unless I´m missing something). There is no difference to monophonic legato, even if polyphonic legato is switched off, if you play a monophonic melody. If for any reason you´d like to switch off ...

  • Re: VI Pro Logic Automation mapping?

Should have looked further on the forum!!     However midi is a somewhat old system and certainly you can find yourself without controllers or keyboards to hand yet still wanting to do serious music production. Also if you're not a slave to templates track automation is way quicker to set up as it's already there and ...
  • VI Pro Logic Automation mapping?

Hi Guys,   Wonder if you could put Logic Automation mapping on your long list of feature requests?   In Logic switching between standard track automation and midi automation (hyper-draw) is a bit of a pain as hyper-draw won't display until the track automation display is switched to off. It is, operationally, very streamlined to ...

  • License scanning times

Firstly a big thanks for the improvement in VSL license scanning times on first boot-up with the introduction of VI Pro. It has also as a by-product vastly improved the license scan of the basic VI. In my case this has dropped from 2'35" (for pretty much the whole VSL library) to 1'20". VI Pro hits the ground running after only ...
