    VST2 or VST3??

I found out VST3 is installed on my system as well as VST2. Which one do you use? Is there any advantage of VST3 to use? Thanks in advance.

    1. VST2 means you only have 1 MIDI port (16 MIDI channels) per instance. However, Program Changes work.
    2. VST3 means that you can have many MIDI ports per instance, which ought to be more CPU efficient. However, Program Changes don't work.

    Your choice really.

And heres the silliest reason why I use VST2,  In Cubase you can rename VST2 plugins but not VST3 ones, and I find the name Vienna Ensemble Pro....  too long in Cubase, as you cannot easily see different instances, so I rename it VE Pro - and I can only do that with a VST2.

I told you it was a silly reason..........
