[SOLVED] S . E. Solo Strings Download won't finish install

I just purchased S.E. Solo Strings and S.E. Solo Strings plus - downloadable versions. The download went fine, and I installed the plus version no problem, but the S.E. standard edition stops halfway through the install and asks me to "Please insert SE_Strings Installer Disk 3 and wait until its icon appears in Finder, then press Continue". I don't have any disks, of course... I only have the downloads. Any suggestions? Thanks Figured it out!! Make sure you download all the .cab files... I missed one and didn't realize.

     Hi and welcome hrrfrost Smile,

maybe your download didnĀ“t work with all your downloaded files. You can check the MD5 checksums as described in the Download Products Installation Manual (Trouble Shooting, the last part to find out which files you should download again.

Also make sure that you are using the latest Syncrosoft LCC and the latest version of the Vienna Instruments and Vienna Ensemble Software!

    Hope that helps!

    Best,

I have exactly the same problem. I've looked through the manual, and don't see the info about the md5 checksum. actually, I don't see a troubeshooting section at all. But I get your drift. I will try and download the cab where the indication occurs.

So I figured out how to use the OSX terminal to go through all of my .cab downloads and apply "openssl md5 myfilename" to cross reference the expected result. By this method I determined that all were fine, but that a file was missing. Sigh. But I do love happy endings.
